These are bad things, another leftover twist from her time with Martin. She treats James like crap as if she is trying to save herself from the responsibilities and expectations that being involved with a guy like James entails.

But of course that was ridiculous.

Yes it is. He has spun a vision of Theresa out of fine gold and white lace that she does not want to be. How stupid can he be to love a woman like her?
